As a brand we thrive to be completely transparent about our sustainability and ethical practices, and we have many environmental initiatives we have pursued and look to grow further in 2020.

Here’s a quick run down….

We are part of the back lash against Fast Fashion and currently choose to make are pieces made-to-order to reduce waste.

Euphoric Threads has never been about cheap throwaway fashion.. the greed and waste that is seen within the fashion industry is truely killing our planet.

We create unique pieces that are made to last and to be cherished.

All pieces are made in the UK by myself, Laura (Griff!) You can read about my background here 😀

Our tight supply chain allows us to minimise our carbon footprint whilst keeping waste to a minimum.

We use natural fabrics wherever possible including high-quality 100% regenerated nylon and polyester yarns.

By choosing to make-to-order and produce items in smaller quantities we have control on how each and every garment is cut. We can position each pattern block sustainably to reduce lots of wasted fabric scraps;

Our scrap pieces are kept aside for our designer Laura, who uses ALL the pesky pieces of textile scraps for one-of-a-kind festival accessories, props, head-pieces and even bunting.

Keep an eye out for new items that our added regularly to our DePop or Etsy Pages.

We have also partnered with a local primary school in Cornwall, who use bags of our scraps for textile projects and appliqué textile classes!

Euphoric Threads’ latest collections have been handmade using a game-changing, 100% regenerated nylon yarn called Econyl, which transforms plastic bottles, fishing nets, and marine waste into a high-quality textile that you can wear time after time.

This Life Recycled Lycra is produced in Italy in collaboration with the Healthy Seas charity.

You are basically helping to CLEAN OCEANS each time you purchase our surfwear.

Ahh-mazing.

Our digital printing is done in the UK, and sublimation printing in Australia when Laura is over in Sydney. Both techniques use eco-friendly water-based inks.. meaning ZERO chemicals or solvents are used.

We are aware that all forms of textile printing will have an environmental impact – it’s just apparent that our digital textile printers sourced ( See: Friedmans & Digital Fabrics) both use the friendliest methods.

Sublimation printing is used for our RECYCLED ECO LYCRA – this means ZERO waste!

How?

Our artwork is first printed onto a transfer paper, which is sourced from sustainable forest crops, after use it is then recycled through a specialist waste collection service. The dyes used are certificated as Azo dye free. The dyes are cured using a combined pressure and dry heat process that does not require water.

…No wet ink means no chemical waste contaminating our waters too!

Awesome!

As a business Laura is striving to limit plastic in all elements of production and packaging.

At Euphoric Threads we have sourced the world’s most sustainable packaging solution … ! It’s 100% compostable.

Known as “Real Dirt Bags”, our packing is bio-based – meaning partly made from plants. Our packaging may feel exactly like plastic, EXCEPT when disposed of its biodegradable with no toxic residues (or micro-plastics!)
And COMPOSTABLE at HOME! Nailed it.

SO .. by buying an item from Euphoric Threads, you are not only supporting an independent designer fulfil her dream (…and put food on the table!) ..

You are making the right steps in SAVING OUR PLANET.
